1. Who we are

PinoyRemote publishes practical information about virtual assistance, remote work, and earning online for readers in the Philippines. The site is owned and operated by Jean Aguilar. In this policy, “PinoyRemote”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the website and its owner. If you have questions, please contact us through our contact page.

2. Information we collect

• Information you give us: for example, your email address when you email us.
• Information collected automatically: Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel, and active advertising services may collect basic technical data such as pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location through cookies, consent signals, and similar technologies. Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel only run after you choose Allow.
• Advertising data: if and when we run ads (for example, Google AdSense), our advertising partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads.

3. How we use your information

We use it to respond to your messages, understand which content helps readers, keep the site secure, and (where applicable) display relevant ads.

4. Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files stored on your device. You can allow or reject optional Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel cookies through the choice shown on the site, then change your choice anytime with the Cookie settings button in the bottom corner of every page. We load Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel only after you choose Allow. If you have not chosen yet, or you choose Reject, neither one runs. If you later choose Reject, we stop loading both on future pages and clear their accessible first-party cookies. This does not erase data already collected. The Google Analytics tag keeps Google’s advertising consent fields denied, and Google signals and ad-personalisation signals remain disabled. Your choice is saved in your browser for 183 days (about 6 months), and after that we ask again. While your choice is Allow, we also save a small first-party cookie so our server knows you allowed. This choice does not manage Google AdSense, which uses Google’s own consent message where the law requires it. You can also control or delete cookies in your browser settings.

With your analytics permission, we may also count when someone clicks from the VA Starter Kit page toward checkout. This count uses the product name and a limited page address. It does not include billing details, order information, or payment data, and it does not mean a purchase was completed.

When you buy a digital product, WooCommerce and the payment provider process the billing and payment details needed to place and fulfil your order. Order confirmation and download access are sent by email. These purchase functions are separate from the optional cookie choice, so checkout and your download work the same whichever you pick.

If you choose Allow, the Meta Pixel helps us see which Facebook ads bring readers to PinoyRemote. Our server may also send the same kind of events directly to Meta through the Meta Conversions API, such as page views, product views, adding the VA Starter Kit to your cart, starting checkout, and completed purchases. We send a purchase event only for paid orders, and only if you chose Allow before you placed the order. A purchase event includes the order total (for example, ₱299), the currency, the product, and the order number, plus technical details such as your IP address, browser type, and Meta cookie IDs. Meta’s automatic advanced matching is turned off on our site, so we do not send your name, email address, phone number, or payment details to Meta. If you have not chosen or you chose Reject, we do not send any of these events to Meta.

5. Third-party services

We may share data with service providers who help us run the site, such as Google Analytics, Meta (for the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, only if you choose Allow), advertising networks, and affiliate programs.
